aerius007; good evening. The suggestion I would make is if this happens in a large city, ask the seller to take the amp to a high-end store and then call the store to verify. I know some stores do that for a slight fee and at least you would have better references. You may also use Visa if the store lets you. And get a visual check should you ever need it; maybe they check it out for a few dollars. Just an idea. Best of luck to you and yours.
 
The other way to handle it is COD...that has been around for decades and usually works fine for both parties, though there is a slight fee to it... $5 or something like that...
