This is a really good CD. Especially the song "Shut Your Eyes".

I like their stuff too from time to time...I have to be in the right mood for them. I too don't speak the language, but I try to read the english translation so I at least have an idea what the song is talking about...

This morning we are about to spin up the Decca LP of Holst's The Planets, and Isoa Tomita's Planets LP too. Love those discs and if time permits I might throw on The London Symphony Orchestra directed under the baton of John Williams doing the Star Wars Sound Track. I need a good new version of that LP if anyone has any thoughts, mine has been played WAY TO MANY TIMES and most of it buy a young boy who did not understand how to properly care for his records...

Snow Patrol's first (Final Straw) is quite good. I enjoy it more that Eyes Open. I was able to get it on SACD back when BB was dumping their stock.

    Thumbs up Spainish Music...

The acoustic and Spanish rhythm on these CD's are just glorious to listen to...

Particularly Roberta Flack's lovely ~ Angelitos Negros. In addition, from Kill Bill Vol. 1, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Santa Esmeralda. From Kill Bill Vol. 2, "Malaguena Salerosa" by Chingon and "Il Tramonto" by Ennio Morricone.

I just finished listening to 3 CDs this morning. 2 of them need no introductions but the third I got yesterday. The CD is called Sunyata and it’s from a band called VAS. I looked up this band because one of the singers an Azam Ali did some of the vocals for the movie 300. If you like the Dead Can Dance then you will like most anything by Azam Ali. This CD is very Dead Can Dance like but with a Middle Eastern twist. Its worth checking out.

Vas - Sunyata... only the beginning... comes Offerings, Garden of souls, Fest of silence and 2 recent others... Cherian, I appreciate having the same dark closets.

Seems like Cherian, Lugano and I all have an appreciation for Vas. I likewise have 3 of their discs. If you're player is so equipped "Garden of Souls" is HDCD encoded.

Didn't get a chance to even log on yesterday, so my Sunday Morning picks are only being posted on Monday. Spent the morning listening to Bach, Sebelius and finally to this new disc from Neil Young. NEW is a relative term of course as this disc was actually recorded before many of the young whipper snappers on the site were even born. "Live at Massey Hall - 1971" is the title and I'll tell you it may as well have been titled "Time Machine" because I was instantly transported to a time of flowers in my hair, free love, hashish like inscence in the air - bliss. Nothing but Neil, an acoustic guitar, a piano and some amazing songs and lyrics from a genuine American (Hey, Canada is still North America) MASTER. Recorded in glorious analog, this sounds AMAZING on the ReQuests. A definate "You are there" type of recording. Great Stuff!!!

    Hey Tim,

I got the remastered "Beauty Stab" CD and I'll have to agree with you that it's better than "Lexicon of Love". Good stuff!

Cherian, please listen to "Fest of Silence" as well. A very vertical disc.
