Pretty cool, but I think he lost me when he said:
" Soundcard is a SoundBlaster X-Fi. Full bandwidth with low distortion, 109 db s/n ratio + 109 db dynamic range and 5.1 dolby digital and DTS decoding - true audiophile quality sound."

If really serious about audio then one does not use Creative products. I'd recommend the M-Audio Audiophile as a much better device that fully supports ASIO interfaces.

Another option if doing analog out of the sound card is the new X-Meridian from Auzentech. This puppy even does DTS Encoding so you can feed a multichannel signal to your processor at a full 1.5Mbps rate from DVD, WM-HD or games.
Even the DAC's are very high-quality.

Thanks for the update on sound cards. I am starting to buy parts so your input is great info to have.
