Hi,
I own a pair of quite old Sequel IIs. Otherwise in very good condition but sides and back (the black areas, wood structure) are dusty, grey and look very worn. They are painted/covered with some semi-sticky material. Any ideas how to clean them?

I use car wax for almost everything, but it does not seem to work there.

Hi Nordic,
That sticky black paint is called NexTel and it's hazardous, so be careful if you try to strip it off.. I'm not sure there's anything you can do apart from disassembling, stripping it off and painting it with a non-toxic paint.

Ok, this helps, thanks. Googling Nextel brought some ideas that appear useful. Possibly not going to clean with Johnnie Walker Red Label as someone did...

I do not intend to re-paint my Sequels, just clean. Car wax cleans grilles and plain wood parts very nicely.
