    Full balanced cables (partially DIY), cheap speaker cables

    I heard ML speakers at various exhibitions and always wanted electrostatic speakers.

    Welcome aboard, Michael. Those speakers REALLY need to be pulled out from that wall to sound their best.

    I got those babies about 2.3 feet from the rear wall (ESL panel to rear wall distance) and about 6.5 feet apart. Gotta convince my wife that my speakers need more "air"

    I could probably get away by dragging them out temporarily for critical listening...

    yes, at a minimum try bringing them out further and determine if you can hear the improvement , soundstage depth for one thing.
