I currently own a beautiful set of ReQuests, thinking a grabbing a set of Odysseys to replace them.

Difficult question... you should listen both carefully, and then choose the ones that you liked most. Both are great sounding speakers.

I love my odysseys. I got a descent about 3 years after original purchase. Unfortunately I have not heard the requests but odyssey / prodigy were very close to my ears. Odyssey gives a slightly warmer lower mid compared to ascent. I am not sure what you have heard

From looking at the specs, Odyssey would be a downgrade from your current ReQuests. The higher Prodigy model would be considered an upgrade from the ReQuest.

If the Odysseys have the later clear spar (CLS Gen2) panels then yes, get them!

Hola. I am with Tosh in this one. Also, the bass is much better controlled. They have the patented pending Balanced Forward. I think the Odyssey model is more my liking too. Happy listening!
