Oh, ok. Sorry. I'm out of the loop. I've been traveling and haven't checked the ps audio forums lately. I'll have to download it when I get back home in a couple of weeks.
I'm up in Boston right now. Sorry to say that my 9 year old daughter had to have a thyroidectomy yesterday. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a couple of months ago. That's why I haven't been posting much lately. Some heavy crap to deal with. She did great with the surgery, though, so all is good for now.
Oh my. I am so sorry to hear Rich. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind thoughts. She is recovering well from surgery and we are just taking it one day at a time.

I haven't checked in to this site in months and just saw this. I hope everything is good with her now. So scary when a child go in for surgery. I'm wishing for the best possible outcome.
Thanks, Steve. She is recovering great. She is off all pain meds and her calcium levels are improving (which is a good sign the parathyroid glands weren't damaged in the surgery). She has lots of energy and is returning pretty much to normal. All in less than a week since the six-hour surgery. Kids are amazing. Now we just have to do the radioactive iodine treatment in a few months, which is scary in its own right. After that, she should be cancer-free. The good news is that with this type of cancer and treatment protocol, the long-term survival rate is better than 96%.
Sorry, guys. I didn't mean to derail the thread with this news. Let's get back to discussing Trump.

Clearly, the Russia investigation is not a witch hunt. Trump continuing to call it that begs the question of his patriotism and ultimate allegiance. This is a serious matter for all Americans, regardless of political persuasion. The Russians certainly helped Trump in the general election, but did they also work to influence the outcome of the republican primaries? That question should concern all conservatives. In the future, the Russians could work to help elect a democrat, or a socialist, that they viewed as better for their interests. Is that what it would take for conservative Trump supporters to realize the seriousness of this state of events? I'm flabbergasted that so many "patriotic" conservatives have continued to support Trump as he has tried to brush this Russian interference in our elections under the rug. Putting party before country is becoming way too common and it is rather disgusting to witness.

Rich, so sorry to hear of your daughters surgery. Not saying anyone should have health issues but definitely not kids to say nothing of the parents having to deal with the emotions of it.

Thanks, Brad. Yes, unfortunately, she will undergo a radioactive iodine treatment in a few months to make sure all the cancer cells are eradicated. It's not as bad as a chemo treatment, but still pretty scary with potential long-term side effects. But better than having a recurrence of the cancer.

Getting back on topic ... we are supposed to hear from Trump this week about the existence of the Comey tapes. Prediction: there are no tapes. This was just bluster designed to bully Comey and influence his testimony, which was wholly ineffective because Comey called the bluff. And don't expect any contrition from Trump for insinuating a lie and creating needless drama and controversy. The man doesn't know the meaning of the word contrition. How can anyone support a person who behaves in this manner? In any respectable government, impeachment proceedings would already be under way.

Rich is right. There will be no tapes. Did he ever say there were? I thought he said Comey better hope there are no tapes... You as an attorney Rich should appreciate that difference. Lol. And furthermore - in an investigation of yourself - I almost think tapes would be the LAST thing you would want to introduce as it might open other cans you really don't want to get into.

And this goes both ways with the Dems and Reps. I have seen and pointed to a list of items that have been spoken as fact yet are unproven. Hillary said awhile back it was Americans that helped the Russians. So it wasn't the Russians but Americans that helped the Russians. So when you continually see this twisting narrative to see if someone can pin the tail on the donkey, it comes off as disingenuous and really questions the motive of the speaker. I'm not sure why this is something people seem to take that lightly. What exactly is the agenda? Because there seems to be one.

I appreciate the difference, timm. I also appreciate the obvious implication. What was the purpose of the president releasing this statement if not to intimidate a witness? Just one more piece of the obstruction puzzle. And today, Trump is questioning Mueller's credibility and bias. When literally every republican in congress was happy with his appointment and his sterling reputation as an unbiased investigator. Why would he be trying to sow those seeds of doubt?

And no, Trump doesn't have to prove anything. He needs to shut up and stay out of it and let the highly-qualified investigators do their job. If he was involved and there is proof of that, Mueller will present that proof. But for some reason, Trump just can't seem to be quiet about it. I wonder why...

These are great points rich. But there is so much muck it is difficult to sift thru it. The Dems know trump has a character flaw and they can nudge the bear easily. So I couldn't tell you what is real and what is the Dems getting him to step all over himself
