My real name is Tom Brucker. I own a service center in Nashville that has specialized in audio repairs for over 30 years. I am an active member on Tape Heads. Typically high end electronics are kept alive by user forums like this. For example, I am a member of the tiny Plasmatronics yahoo group and actually got a pair running two years ago. A good friend of mine owns a pair of Statements driven by massive VTL monoblocks in a very live 50 foot long x 25 foot wide room. I've been trying to make the room sound better, to no avail.
