Hey everybody!
I've been really busy with work and relocating and life and all that. But I'm still around, still got my trusty Sequels (which need new panels BADLY now....) and I'm in the process of building a new amp & preamp. All tube of course. My Sony Blu-Ray player croaked earlier in the year, so I blew a couple of paychecks on an Oppo 103D which I absolutely love. Sold my motorcycle early this year....... no time for riding. But I've got a regular job now and I have weekends off, so that will change as soon as budget allows.
So there is my recent history in a nutshell. Once I'm more settled I'll have more time for music which will help with the blood pressure. And some riding.
Best regards,
Ross

And as usual, I've been away! I moved to South Dakota last year to help my adopted sister, but while there I became seriously ill. I headed back to Cali to be close to specialists. I'm mostly healed now, but not completely there yet. During my time back here I found out a very good friend of mine isn't doing too well, so I'm hanging out with him for the time being. At some point I'll be taking over his electronics business, but in the meantime, his family is grateful somebody is around. I'm also looking at property in northern Utah, where I'll be closer to family up there. Eventually I'll be setting up shop there, unless a smokin' deal happens in California. Unfortunately most of my stuff is in storage so no ML joy for now.
So there you go! An update every couple of years or so isn't too bad! I hope everybody here is doing well.

Glad you're back again. Sorry to hear of your illness. Being there for a friend and family is a blessing for them. Hopefully things will run a bit more smoothly in the future.

MAJOR bump folks!
Still in SoCal but I'm starting a new business to help out the friend I mentioned earlier. He's real close to retiring at this point. My business is Sandhurst Electronics. The website is just up and running. If you're interested, please search my company name. PM me if you're having difficulty with the search as that's helpful to me and my web engineer. Primarily I'm doing vintage car radio restorations but vintage tube gear, speakers, etc., I do as well.
Otherwise life is pretty good right now. Health is good except for getting the flu twice in three months and I'm getting over pneumonia. Since becoming as ill as I was out in SD I've been more prone to such things, but at least I can heal without major intervention. And I get a little better every year!

interesting start up Ross, keep us posted and updated ! Best of luck !

Thanks Dave! Business is picking up and I've little time for personal stuff right now, but my next storage unit run will see my Sequels come back with me. I think I'm going to build new cabinets for them and some upgrades. And I may have a go at rebuilding the panels as the tension on the membranes has slacked off on both of them. I recall seeing an article here about a conductive coating that works really well. I priced out a pair of replacements from ML recently, and they're outside of my budget right now.
