so i have everything hooked up...

my observations are as follows...

overall things sound good...at mid to high volume excellent

at low volume i feel lower end and mid level is missing a little... kind of shallow...

i tried a mcintosh 7 channel amp and it felt warmer and better at low volume..the only thing i noticed is that 7ch mcintosh is rated 8/4 ohm and not 2 ohm like some of the 2/3 channel models...so not sure if that makes a difference...this is very confusing...

i think i may change out to the mcintosh..but the xpa-7 does sound good... just the mcintosh is warmer and fuller at lower volume levels...just need to figure out the model to get or maybe consider other brands?

Are your Montis broken in yet? They need at least 100 hours of listening, with diminishing returns thereafter, but continued improvement nonetheless.
