I have a nice set of ML SL3s and just noticed that one panel is weaker and not as clear in regards to sound and the other sounds excellent. I tested amps, preamp, etc. to narrow it down to one speaker. Any thoughts?

Since I just went through having "weak panels" and fixed that by vacuuming them (it had been a year since their last cleaning!), I ask the question - have you cleaned them recently? My amp is running cooler since it's not having to work so hard to produce the desired spl.
I can't speak to the "not as clear" aspect of your issue however. Are you talking about distortion? Or, sounding a bit "distant" or "in the background"?
