VB is most definitely altering your pick because it's bigger then the size limit for jpg file type, which is 750 x 750, which is plenty big for posting.

VB changes it to the restricted size... all done behind the scenes...

I will not change the size settings... you have to change your images...

    Thanks!

All good Tom. However, in these days of wide screen monitors, they are smaller than they need to be for no reason IMHO. They'll look far more impressive if you set the image width to 900 or even more. My laptop is running at 1600 x 900, for instance, with a 17 inch screen.

I'd be really grateful if you could set it to at least 900. You can keep the image size restriction as it is so no more disk space, though I'd bump that up as well. I can't believe in these days of TB size hard disks the image size can really be a relevant cost.

Any one else in favour of bigger pics/higher res as well say I please.

    Stunning silence, LOL

Do that and you can have some great Neolith pics. That's a promise

I'm OK with 900 X 900... when we reach our data threshold and the hosting company has to increase our data plan, you two will be the first peeps I ask for cash. ;-)

OK.. I just changed setting for JPG files only to 900 x 900. and a max of 2MB.

Will be looking forward to seeing the pics from Munich!

Ok, now that we've solved Justin's picture issues, can we work on all his other issues? I don't know if one thread will cut it though. May need its own subforum.

Tom you've got it wrong I am afraid. .JPG files are now 900 x 900 limited to a mere 19.5 KB. Which is why the above pic forum hosted looks tiny.

I give up gonna use Picassa but you'll only get the bit less than 800 pixels wide above. If the files size is in bytes you need to enter 2 x 1024 x 1024 = 2097152 to restrict to 2MB.

To be honest 2MB is mad for a jpeg. Suggest you set to a max of 300KB which is still much higher than really needed but tiny in terms of storage these days.
