Forgot if I sent you this link or not for pictures of the new Heil speakers that we talked about awhile back...

Thrid picture down shows the two smaller models.

The second picture from the bottom. At the back of the room, you see two cabinets with black covers on top...those are the larger Heils...hard to tell from the picture, but they are 4-5' tall..

If the units on top are Heils, they're huge! Note that the smaller speakers shown use a classic configuration of a small Heil transformer on top of a conventional box speaker. I own ESS AMT-1Cs, which is what I moved up to Ascents from. I always liked the technology behind Heils, but they kind of sucked at mid range. Even the old Transars which used a variant of a Heil for bass drivers in addition to the normal transformer weren't as good as what I consider mid-range modern speakers. It's good to see someone still experimenting with the technology though (it's effectively a pleated diaphragm where the pleats are squeezed together to move air - the analogy used is squirting a marble from between your finger tips.).

That's right I almost forgot... ;) Thanks, the photo's look excellent. Heils look like very fasinating and interesting. I hope to hear them someday. I appreciate your remebering to share the photo's with me... :D :D
