Would it be an amp or Speakers if one noticed an unnoticed (till it became evident) decrease in sound output across the board, both channels? Preamp?
I might start switching amps tonight to find out. Last nights listening session, fueled by wine and exotic tobaccos, ended with me wondering what happened to the sound level. Today told me I just wasn't hallucinating it all. It all still sounds fan-tastic but . . .

Hmm, have you vacuumed your panels recently? Checked all connections are tight?

Do you note volume levels for each recording?

I know it sounds anal but, from my experience, each recording has its own optimum volume level.

With my CJ, it's pretty easy.

Point is, are you sure you are listening at the same level that you were before?

I did a major vacuuming and checked my different source levels but the major indicator, my two different sound level meters, tell me to lay off the sauce and ease up on the Alieve . Nothing to see here, move along . . .
