Hello,
I was at a Paradigm Dealer today which had on Display the Sub 1 and Sub 2.
They really are impressive. However, the one thing that caught my eye was how close in Design and Appearance they are to the Descent and Depth Subwoofers.

The Paradigms are a good bit more powerful, but they are both Sealed multiple 10" Driver hexagon shaped enclosures. The Sub 2 even has Drivers on 3 sides just like the Descent and Depth.

The Sub 2 does use 2 Drivers on the 3 sides for a total of 9, but it seems awfully close in Design to the Descent and Depth.
Cheers,
ML

I just looked through all the subwoofers I could find on the Paradigm website but didn't see the ones you're talking about. Did I miss something? :wtf:

Trust your ears, for myself I like the tighter sealed designs. However on my subwoofer I went with a push-pull model from M&K (it's an older model).

Concept similar to mine (push-pull):

Go into the store with your favorite CD's, I used Holly Cole's Temptation (acoustic bass) and something else with a heavy techo theme like SEAL. Compare subwoofers, and trust your ears.

Thanks, very interesting. In fact, being intrigued by the configuration of Descent and Depth is a big part of my interest in ML. Maybe I'll try a DIY along those lines when the S.O.A.F. has recovered a bit from the Wooferwitz LFE 0.5 project and my carpentry skills get more refined.
