Searching for the perfect loudspeaker... Need advice.

Hi everyone,
I'm a aspiring ML owner. I need some feedback in making a decision regarding what to go with...
I've auditioned the MLs that are in my price range. Love them and wanted to get some feedback regarding used Logans. Would it be better to spend $3500.00 on a pair of Ascents or to search the used market (and spend LESS) for a pair of Monoliths or Quests? I've never heard either of these. How do they compare to the Ascent? What should I look for when purchasing used? Does the sound deteriorate over the years? I've heard conflicting stories about panel life span. Some say 10 years, others say longer. Would they be as easy to drive as the Ascent (I'm using a Aragon 4004 Mk2)

any help and/or insight into this would be GREATLY appreciated!
