Tim,

I know the feeling. I had the opportunity to demo both the Scenario and Mosaic. I went with the Scenario because of several reasons. First, the Scenario still had the classic electrostatic sound when I compared it to the Clarity and Aeon I next to it. Second, the Mosaic, though clear and detailed, sounded less airy in presentation vs. the Scenario. Third, the Scenario had the "look" that I wanted. Lastly, the Mosaic seemed too "forward" sounding to me. In regards to the off-axis issue, the Scenario is the same, very abrupt changes in sound if you are not in the sweet spot. The Mosaic is definitely more forgiving in this regards. I would rate the Mosaic up there with some of the best conventional boxed speakers. Great midrange, wider soundstage and more detailed than my old B&W CDM7SEs. For my taste, the Scenario had what the Mosaic has and more. I have been a very happy Scenario owner for the last couple of months. They still amaze me today with their musical presentation. Also, I believe your Integra receiver should have no problem running either speaker since it is a conservative 100wpc home theater receiver. If the off-axis issue is a real problem, go with the Mosaic. If not, you may be able to find a Scenario closeout like I did and save over $600 off list. Now that was a bargain I couldn't pass up at the time. Good luck with your selection.
