For those in the Philly viewing area our local FOX News (WXTF Channel 29) is air a segment tonite on.......vinyl playback !

It will be presented in their "Deal or Dud" segment and will focus on the resurgance of Vinyl / Lp playback.

So, those in the area it should be worth a look or a laugh !

On those occasions that I watch tv news it is usually on Fox. There is a kind of cult following on vinyl, there was an interesting article on a Detroit firm that is working at capacity. [No not Chrysler or GM]

In my opinion Vinyl is superior in sound to CD's much of the blame for red book goes to Phillips that developed the CD However there is no one that can dispute that the conveniance and the eventual advances put it finally into high end where we all reside. a few years ago I decided that I was not going to support 2 front end formats after listening to a dozen or so CD players through the years the unit that finaly made my decision was a Krell KAV 250 finally I felt that I could dedicate myself to CD. This was not an easy decision. Now some 8 years after abandoning analog, I am sure that the decision was the correct one. I have listened to some really great TT based systems [I used to own one] and yes they are great. You can not get away from surface noise or the fact that your $6000.00 cartridge will need replacement. God loves those that are willing to work with all of these downsides for the romatics of vinyl.

I will be listening to my Wadia. Finally "perfect sound forever"
