Sometime soon I am going to have to send in my Koetsu Rosewood to be retipped/rebuilt. There are a few places around the world that do the work. Does anyone have any experience with them ?

Bernard my only experience with a rebuild was with a vDH MC-1 which was "lost in transit". I never saw it again-I was told by the dealer that it was "probably stolen" by the middleman. I also have a Koetsu Rosewood Sig that will need rebuilding soon so I am as anxious as you to find someone reputable to do this!

Be aware, depending on the age of your Koetsu, they advise against a rebuild if they deem it too old. That's what they wrote to me when I attempted the same.
Interesting that they said that as this is what they say on their site:

"Replacing all the elements in your Koetsu phono cartridge will give it a new lease of life. It will be equivalent to getting a brand new cartridge. In fact, as the Rosewood body ages, it will add considerable value to the sound".
