While up in Scranton, Pa earlier this week on business I noticed this bldg along the right-of-way of our railroad (The Delaware Lackawanna RR), the bldg is currently For Sale and I am working with a potential rail customer who may soon occupy it. What caught my attention was what was still visible on it's side........'CAPITOL RECORDS, Inc' ! yes indeed a pressing plant that was rail served and dates back to the days of Shelac !

The plant closed in 1969 but not before pressing many a Beattles LP, so I was told by some of the locals.

ahhhhh..... if those walls could only talk !!

Amazing to say the least. I have been on the Capitol Records building in Hollywood and the studio where many records have been"created". it is just too bad Capitol screwed all the Beatles releases when the got the tapes way back when.
